Session 34 - Between a Roc and a Hard Place

Notes

• Returned to Red March along the northern edge of Lake Silverstep.  Saw a long stretch of mud flats on the northern shore.
• Studied books from Varnhold and found entry noted by Pendrod that discussed Vordakai.
• Headed back out to Nomen Heights.
• Attacked by a roc.
• Discovered Talon's Peak.  A roc has been using it as a nest and they found a single egg.
• Ended session with the egg in transit back to Red March on the night of the 6th of Desnus.

Session 33 - The Quill is Mightier than the Sword

Notes

• Discover Culchek Cave.  Uncover a nest of cockatrice and some of their Spriggan victims.
• Encounter a manticore.  Trade it a horse for some of its quills.  Attacked the next day by a manticore as well, end up fighting a large group and finding their lair in some mountain cliffs.

Session 32 - The Great Clue Hunt

Notes

• Searching the stockade and blockhouse reveals a map that reveals some nearby areas, Maegar Varn's sword, and an ancestral Nomen bow.
• In the village, they find Willas Gunderason's journal, and a torn page that reads "Found bracelet by river."
• At the inn they find evidence of a Maestro Pendrod conducting research into the discovery of a jade "bracelet" on the banks of a "river of local provenance".  They find several books and reams of notes they pack away for later investigation.
• The party departs to the southwest for a place marked on the map found in the stockade labelled "Culchek Cave".

Session 31 - The Varnhold Vanishing

Notes

• All communication with Varnhold ceases overnight.
• Approaching Varnhold through a pass in the Tors, Spriggan are discovered in control of the stockade and blockhouse.
• Going through the roof, the Spriggan are slain.

Session 30 - Festival of the Beast

Notes

• One of the Drekavic is slain, and the others are cured.
• The dead patrol is found in an opened kame.  One is clutching a bronze disk with a black scarab.  A fast-spreading disease attacks the party and they decide to board up the kame.
• Kavken leads a blessing of the fields in springtime.  And Nikolai is granted the title Brother, effectively joining the clergy of Erastil.
• Sightings of the Grim White Stag are reported from several people.  A giant mural is put up in Tatzylford of the Grim White Stag.
• The Festival of the Bear celebrates the anniversary of the owlbear's death, and a grand statue is carved in the middle of Port Jackal.
• Oleg and Svetlana announce their new family.  Svetlana steps down from her leadership position.

Notes

• Meagar Varn and host visit the Red March and establish a trade agreement.
• The party investigates a lost patrol, last seen in some eastern farmlands.
• Notice a lack of children with the families questioned.  Attacked by huddled and sobbing children-sized monsters that appear out of the foggy night.
• Session ends on the month of Pharast.

Session 28 - The Thing In The Pit

Notes

• The pit turns out to be a tricky illusion with a gibbering mass of flesh and mouths at the bottom.
• An impossibly angled hallway leads to an altar and a watery hole in the ground.  Eel tries to gut himself over the altar with a dagger he finds in the ground.  A alien tendril-shaped creature erupts from the water and attacks.
• In a return trip Stone Shape is used to smother the stone from the altar over the watery hole creating an inch or two thick plug.
• Lily is recruited for the role of diplomat for Red March.
• Beagan and his four apprentice engineers promise their services to Roden.  Their total Profession (Engineering) bonus is +20, and a roll can be added to the kingdom bank every phase a building is built.
• Session ends in the month of Abadius, starting the new year of 4712 A.R.
